Jeff Winemiller is a broadcast engineer, entrepreneur, and television station owner with more than 40 years of experience in the broadcasting industry. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation as an innovative technologist and problem-solver, helping broadcasters implement cutting-edge transmission technologies while expanding television service to new audiences.

Jeff began his career in RF and microwave engineering and went on to found RF Central, a pioneering company specializing in wireless video transmission systems for broadcast television. Under his leadership, RF Central became one of the industry's leading providers of microwave equipment used by television networks, sports broadcasters, and live-event producers worldwide. The company was ultimately acquired by The Vitec Group, validating its position as a market leader in broadcast technology.

A two-time Emmy Award winner, Jeff has provided RF engineering support for 11 Olympic Games, from Seoul in 1988 through London in 2012. In 2000, his company was awarded a $1.1 million contract to supply RF equipment and technical support for the Sydney Olympic Games, further establishing his reputation as one of the industry's foremost wireless transmission experts.

In recent years, Jeff has focused on the Low Power Television sector through his company, Lowcountry 34 Media. He has acquired, built, restored, and optimized numerous LPTV stations across the country, helping broadcasters preserve valuable licenses, improve coverage, and navigate the evolving regulatory landscape. His work has included assisting major broadcast groups such as Gray Media and Nexstar with ATSC 3.0 deployments and transmission system upgrades. He has also been one of the most active participants in FCC filing initiatives designed to expand LPTV coverage and improve spectrum efficiency.

As owner and operator of a growing portfolio of LPTV stations nationwide, Jeff continues to advocate for innovation, spectrum optimization, and the long-term success of Low Power Television. His combination of technical expertise, entrepreneurial achievement, and hands-on broadcasting experience provides invaluable insight to the LPTV Broadcasters Association Board of Directors.
