Bill Christian

Bill Christian is a broadcaster, entrepreneur, and technology innovator whose career has spanned more than four decades across television, radio, and emerging media. A four-time Emmy Award winner, Christian has owned, operated, developed, or managed more than 20 television stations and 15 radio stations throughout the United States, building a reputation for identifying opportunities in underserved markets and championing local broadcasting.

Throughout his career, Christian has been a strong advocate for independent broadcasters and has held numerous industry leadership positions, including serving as President of the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters and as an officer of the Fox Affiliate Board of Governors. His work has consistently focused on expanding access to local programming, strengthening station operations, and creating new business opportunities for broadcasters.

In recent years, Christian has become one of the leading voices in next-generation broadcast technology. As founder of WWOO-LD in Boston, he helped launch what is recognized as the world's first 24/7 5G Broadcast television station, demonstrating how broadcast spectrum can be used to deliver content and data directly to mobile devices without relying on traditional cellular networks. Through his leadership of XGen Network and other ventures, he continues to advance the deployment of 5G Broadcast technology and advocate for innovative uses of spectrum that can benefit broadcasters, consumers, and public safety alike.
